I asked OpenAI’s GPT-3 to generate 31 different videogame ideas, one for each day of Blaugust, each dealing in some way with that particular day of the month. Here’s its idea for August 2nd: “2Dark 2C”. In this complex real-time strategy computer game you play a spacefaring vampire attacking colonies on planets ranging from swamps to desert worlds with Medusas as mid-bosses and aliens comprised entirely of flower petals as final bosses… added bonus: instead of gathering resources conventionally, suck all available blood reserve dry (although keep essential personnel fed mightily so your ship doesn’t grind to a halt) for much quicker growth plus veterancy effects / unit upgrades! ...
