Wizard 101’s sixth world, Grizzleheim, has been announced, and it already looks like it will be a real departure from the other worlds of the Spiral. Quantize believes, from the announcement, that Grizzleheim is explored parallel to the other worlds as you play through the game. Long weekend for us in the US, Memorial Day weekend. Though meant to honor Americans who have died in wars, I remember it mainly as the beginning of school’s summer session – those last few weeks of school where the teachers pretty much relaxed and let you do whatever you liked. See, this is exactly why you can’t do “first impressions” on an MMO. What does my couple hours of time in Atlus’ newly relaunched MMO NeoSteam tell me about the rest of the game? Not a lot. On the face of it, it’s nothing more than a reskinned fantasy MMO with an anime style similar to Dream of Mirror Online and other games of that ilk (though without, thus far, DOMO’s strong story). You have two nations at war, one with a technology bent and the other magical, though at first glance, this doesn’t lead to much difference in game. Six races (four human or human-like, two monster), four professions, and not much avatar customization. ...

For being a hardcore, impact, PvP, NOT easy to play, sandbox kinda MMO, EVE Online has such a great community that the occasional pirate can’t break the mood. Here’s the thing. After delivering two loads of Kernite to Old Man Star, a 0.3 and hence open PvP system, without any trouble, I was kinda thinking that maybe all the PvPers were living even deeper in low security, in 0.0 space, and I wouldn’t really have to worry much about them. ...

We’ve heard rumors of Grizzleheim, a Nordic world along the spiral filled with Bears, Wolves, and Ravens. They are rumors no more. Next month, we’ll be able to journey to Wizard 101’s newest world and befriend the various tribes we find there. New house items, new quests, new places to explore… new levels? I don’t know. I’d expect new levels, at least five of them. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on that. (Thanks to GameMom for the tip!) ...

So I just applied to a corp in EVE Online. I have so many questions they can help me answer! Like, what’s the command to hearth back to the inn? And, are there like space question marks so you know which stations have the quests? And, how do you switch between specs?
