It’s been a little over a week since I started blogging over at Massively, and while I am really enjoying myself, I think I still have a lot to learn about story ideas. It’s all about the page views, right, and what brings in the eyeballs better than our dear old friend, porn. So I suggested this to the editors, and they pretty much informed me that they already had plenty of Second Life coverage, and maybe I could work on this piece about “Shoulder armor through the ages – how high is too high?”. ...

This game just turns the cute – I mean, the kawaii – up to 11… So after you choose your life’s destiny, all very solemn, your Mirror King (who’s a girl, but let’s not quibble) sends you off to find a World Mirror that will set you on your path (I chose: monster friend). But before you go… PICTURES! YAY! PLLLLLEEEEEEASE JUST ONE PICTURE! So she tiredly, resignedly, agrees to let you take some pictures, and you and she do some poses. ...

I downloaded Dream of Mirror Online (DOMO) last night, and tried to get it to work under WINE in Linux, but no dice, so I installed it on my Windows machine. 3D anime style Korean (not Japanese) port, which means that looking for their Advanced Recon Intelligence Gathering Automatic Targeting Ordnance (ARIGATO) will probably end up disappointingly. It’s gotten some fun reviews over in Massively and elsewhere, so what the heck. I’ve played other of their imports… and they’re usually at least a little fun and always free. ...
