In our reality, Washington D.C. is currently managed by the feds. The Hall of Justice is apparently in DC. Does that mean Superman and the Super Friends are de facto government employees? Batman is a G-man? Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Doom… We’ll find out in Episode 42: The Legion of Doom, which adds a new open world area to the game. Washington DC joins Metropolis, Gotham, Central City, Atlantis, Thanagar, Themiscyra, the 31st Century and so on. Two short scenarios for last night’s Jaws of the Lion campaign: First was “The Heist”, where we investigate a sewer branch that led directly beneath some rich dude’s mansion. Second was the Red Guard’s personal quest. Both were harrowing races against time. We were recovering from our last adventure in the Beguiling Sewers at our home base, the Sleeping Dragon Inn, when in burst a messenger, panting and looking a little wild-eyed. “A message! For! A Red Guard! Seen in this area!” he panted, looking around, but not seeing us at our usual table in the back corner. ...

I resisted running mods for Valheim for so long… but I saw some folks talking about building their homes in New World, and I was all thinking “I already have Valheim” and then “but I could make it look better”. Also, I found out how to bring tar pits into biomes we have already explored. Valheim has been an on-again, off-again game for me, once we killed all the bosses and most of Team Spode drifted away from the game back to other pursuits. But my Twitter feed yesterday exploded with people showing off their home builds in Amazon’s “New World”, and that got me back in the building mood again. ...

New World has been released for just a week. It is way, way too early to start forecasting any sort of trends from this. Like, that’s ever stopped me before. I repeat this whenever I talk about Google Trends. Google Trends is based solely on what people are searching for, and does not correlate with the actual popularity of the game, the number of players, or anything. It’s just the number of searches on a specific topic in a certain amount of time. I would assume that search terms are connected to a specific topic by the searcher clicking on a relevant link in the search results, but that’s just a guess. That said… ...
